Boat Ride

We were very blessed to spend a wonderful Sunday afternoon with our friends on Geist Reservoir. It was a beautiful day to relax, play, eat and fellowship. If you'll recall picture from this event last year, poor Maddie barely fit in her life jacket. I think she enjoyed this trip a little more!

THE Wedding

So Donna and Larry are married now. And that is a good thing. The wedding was small, brief, and fun. I missed 90% of the ceremony thanks to Loudmouth McGee (aka Madeline). Here are a few snapshots. If you want the rest of the pictures, you're going to have to go to facebook because it's too much work to get them on here.

The entire wedding. Not the wedding party. The entire wedding.
One big happy family.

Wishing the Dyers the very best for many many years to come!

Hilton Head Island

We had the opportunity to venture to the beach this summer! For the last year, my mom has been planning a big get away for all of us: The Longs, Hartzlers, Webbs and even the grandparents. It was a great week with lots of beach time, pool time, nap time, reading time and generally spending time together. The crappy thing is we didn't take very many pictures because it's hard to chase a 1 year old down the beach while holding an expense camera. Here's some of what we did get though:

Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day Weekend was the start of something new for the Long family. In case you haven't heard, Brad's mom is marrying a wonderful man this summer and she has moved to Columbus in anticipation of the future merger. (And in case you didn't hear this, they have yours truly to thank for the matchmaking. My services are available, but for a fee...) So anyway, Memorial Day was our first visit to her new home in Columbus. First off, let me say that the mere 3 hour drive to Columbus is a welcome change from our usual 5 hour trip. Second, we had a lot of fun seeing Donna's new home and meeting the future step family. (weird.) Lastly, we got to visit my longest running friend, Niki and see her beautiful house and store. After Madeline made her husband climb the stairs with him for a solid hour, I'm sure they're refilling their birth control prescription.

Silly Little Monkey

Because I had the Friday before Memorial Day off work, I got the chance to take Maddie to the Indianapolis Zoo with our good friends the Hydes. Maddie has actually already made it to the zoo this year with her babysitter, but I was super excited to spend a beautiful day outside. Unfortunately she was feeling super antsy and wanted to climb every fence we came upon. I'm pretty sure she would have made it into a few animal displays if I weren't paying attention. Her favorite part of the zoo was the butterfly garden at White River Gardens. She was free to roam without getting into too much trouble, all while chasing butterflies.
